Peter McKnight founded MCKNIGHTS in 2009 recognizing and responding to clients’ needs for a specialist commercial and civil litigation law firm in the Turks and Caicos islands. Peter has 27 years of commercial and civil litigation experience having worked in top 5 law offices in London, Hong Kong and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Peter is English and admitted to practice in England and Wales, Hong Kong, Australia, Ireland and the Turks and Caicos Islands. With 13 years’ experience practicing in this jurisdiction Peter is one of the most senior litigation attorneys on island having appeared countless times before the High Court in England and Wales, the Supreme Court in Hong Kong and the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Magistrates Courts in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Peter has also advised and represented clients in arbitration proceedings in Canada as well as advising and representing families, professionals and hospitals in countless inquests in England, Hong Kong and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Peter’s advice is highly sought and highly valued. Peter has represented hundreds of medical and dental practitioners before the Medical Council of Hong Kong. Peter has also successfully defended one client charged with murder.
